The drum kit is by far the greatest instrument ever created. It is my understanding that the first kit was built and sold by William F Ludwig. He freakin' rules. I played drums for ok+ for nearly 9 years. School and probably the need to move on split us up, but Dan Herro and Dave Nahey used to be in a band called Medium Noise. Here are a bunch of songs we recorded for a 2000 release title end sky come space.
Later I played in a band called Near Eros with my cousin Mark who used to be in a band called El Oso. Finishing college and a move to the east coast ended our heavy metal days. Technology, however, now allows Mark and I to keep Near Eros alive. Near Eros is back up running with Mark at guitars/electronica and me back behind the kit and doing some guitar. Mark does wonders with modest equipment at guitar recording back in Milwaukee while I head to Jamspot with my equipment to do drum tracking and add vocals at my apartment. It is worth noting that it is my belief that Jamspot is probably the best idea I have seen from anywhere in a long time.
Aside from drums my two other musical passions are guitar and recording. I have been fortunate enough to purchase all of my guitars from Dan. This includes my precious Japanese Telecaster. I know there is nothing terribly special about it, but it sounds rad. In addition, nothing sounds as nice as a Sovtek Mig 100h. For recording I have followed the masses and gone digital. I started my digital studio with a PreSonus Firepod. I must admit, it far exceeds the bang for the buck in analog, and its super easy to use.
My friend Pat Fennelly visited me a while ago, and after noticing some peculiarities of my apartment we wrote this song. It reveals Pat's amazing vocal abilities as well as his knack for song writing. (He's the one with the good voice.) It also reveals how childish the two of us can be.
